Hockey fans the wait is over. Friday night the Knoxville Ice Bears hit the rink for their season opener against the Pensacola Flyers. Come out to support the home team. The puck drops at 7:30pm.

On Saturday, Elizabeth Gilbert, author of the best selling book Eat, Pray, Love, will be at the Tennessee Theatre to give insight into her writing and her latest novel. Tickets are $35. Curtain goes up at 7:00pm.
On Sunday, the Tennessee Theatre has the Barenaked Ladies performing with Whitehorse. Tickets to this show start at $32. Doors open at 7:00pm.
The 3rd Annual Sweet Sounds of K-Town will feature everything from, West African tribal drumming to Broadway show tunes all to benefit Casa de Sara and children in need. The show starts Sunday at 2:00pm at the 4th United Presbyterian Church.

What better way to end the weekend then by helping out Second Harvest Food Bank at the 8th Annual East Tennessee Chili Cook-Off. Head to World's Fair Park Sunday to sample Knoxville's best chili while helping to feed the hungry. The cook-off goes from noon to 6:00pm.
