(WBIR-Pigeon Forge) Christmas chatter is stirring inside Dollywood amusement park. Elves finish hanging decorations which will greet visitors beginning Saturday, November 9 through January 4, 2014.
Four million Christmas lights will shine after a three month installation process. 60 staple guns, six million staples and 11,600 work hours were used to make the park glow.
A flurry of shows are scheduled to spread the season spirit. One performance will use technology to wow Dolly fans.
"Dollywood's A Christmas Carol brings a never-before-seen adaption of the Charles Dickens classic to stage. Set amid lavish Victorian scenery, the classic story of redemption and hope is underscored by eight powerful new songs written by Dolly especially for this 45-minute musical," according to a Dollywood news release. "For the first time ever in theme park history, cutting-edge holographic technology brings Dolly to the stage in a very special role as the Ghost of Christmas Past...".
