Maybe you like a little barbecue with you music? Well, you'll find both at Sevierville's Bloomin' BBQ & Bluegrass festival. The event kicks off Friday downtown and goes through Saturday and the best part, it's free.

Farragut will host its Open Art Show this weekend at the Farragut Town Hall. More than 100 pieces of art will be on display with many paired with unique floral arrangements. The event runs Friday from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm and Saturday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Once again the Smoky Mountains will transform into the "highlands" at this weekend's Scottish Festival and Games. Scottish heritage will be on display in the forms of food, music and competition. The festival starts Friday and runs through Sunday on the campus of Maryville College.

Enjoy the epic displays of Mead's Quarry Friday through Sunday thanks to canoe, kayak and paddleboard tours at Ijams Nature Center. Equipment is available on a first come, first served basis. Rentals are $11 per hour or $35 for all day.

Starting at 10:00 am on Saturday, Knox County Public Library's 10th Annual Children's Festival of Reading will be at World's Fair Park. There's fun for the entire family. Admission is free.

Cool cars and a great cause go hand in hand at the Kingdom Kare Car Show for Cancer Saturday. Come out to support this one of a kind car show at the Kingdom Kare Child Development Center in Maryville. All proceeds go to Relay for Life.

Legendary artist Kenny Rogers will headline the annual "Stars on Stage" fundraiser at the Tennessee Theatre. The show takes place Saturday at 7:00 pm. Regular admission starts at $57. All proceeds will benefit the historic theatre.

Get ready for this, Alaskan positive-vibe psych-pop band, "Portugal. The Man" takes the stage at the Bijou Theatre Saturday night. Quiet Life will also be on hand for a night of entertainment. Tickets are $25. Show starts at 8:00 pm.

Also Saturday night, The Yanks with Jamie Laval will be at The Square Room. This group has been labeled by some to be the next Irish American dream team. The show starts at 8:00 pm.

Biscuits, biscuits and more biscuits is what you'll find at this year's International Biscuit Festival. Head downtown for a stroll down biscuit boulevard to taste a wide variety of biscuit goodness. The main festivities kick off Saturday at 9:00 am.

We wind the weekend down at Repticon. Reptiles and other exotic animals will be featured and this "scale-y" event so if you're not afraid of snakes stop by the Knoxville Expo Center Saturday and Sunday. Doors open at 10:00 am.
