Big families in Hollywood are not the norm, notwithstanding reality TV's the Duggar family and their team of 19. So when comedy star Maya Rudolph welcomes a fourth child, it's news.
Not that she's talking about it. US Weekly is reporting that Rudolph, 41, and her longtime partner, Oscar-nominated director Paul Thomas Anderson, 43, are cooing today over Baby No. 4, although no details on when, where or even the gender of the little one.
Who says? Unnamed sources, of course. But she was pregnant, and confirmed it in April on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, joking about her size and when she was due.
"It looks like sooner, but we'll see," said the TV comedy star-turned-movie-star (Bridesmaids, Grown Ups).
Her co-star in Grown Ups 2, Salma Hayek, said Rudolph couldn't believe she was having another baby, after vowing never again after the third.
"It's amazing how we forget," Rudolph added. "It's like that light pen thing they do in Men in Black. Somebody (pointed it in my face) and I was like, 'I don't know what you're talking about.' "
The couple are already parents to Pearl, 7, Lucille, 3, and Jack, 2. A Saturday Night Live alum, she told NPR's Fresh Air 2012 that her priorities changed after first becoming a mother in October 2005.
"Before I had children, everything about my life was devoted to Saturday Night Live," she said of her seven-year run on the show. "It's really difficult to be there for anyone else in your life when you're doing the show because of the hours it demands."
