(WBIR) Pineville is anxiously awaiting Jimmy Rose's return home.

In honor of the "America's Got Talent" star, the community is hosting a "Welcome Home Concert" this Saturday afternoon at the Pineville High School's new gym.

Jimmy got third place in NBC's "America's Got Talent" finals on Wednesday night.

During the show, a jammed-packed gymnasium in Pineville cheered him on. His friend and family said they were speechless over Jimmy's incredible journey.

Rose, a Marine veteran and former coal miner, first auditioned for "America's Got Talent" in New Orleans and won over all four judges with his original song "Coal Keeps the Lights On."

People across America also loved Jimmy's song as well. Their votes carried him all the way to the final six where he faced off against singer Cami Bradley, acrobatic dancer Kenichi Ebina, operatic trio Forte, magician Collins Key and comedian Taylor Williamson.

Ebina would eventually go on to win the grand prize: $1 million; headline spot in a Las Vegas show.
