Dead Man's Farm Haunted House: 7-10 p.m. Oct. 24 & Oct. 29-30; 7 p.m.-midnight Oct. 25-26, 7-11 p.m. Nov. 1-2; closed Oct. 31, 9567 Highway 11E, Lenoir City. $17 admission. High-intensity, interactive haunted house.

"Deathtrap": 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday & Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday through Nov. 3, Theatre Knoxville Downtown, 319 N. Gay St., Knoxville. Tickets $10 Thursday or Sunday, $15 Friday or Saturday at www.theatreknoxville.com. Play with comedy-thriller plot features thriller writer in a slump ready to do anything to improve his fortune.

Dungeon of Darkness Haunted Castle: dark-11 p.m. Thursday, Friday & Saturday through Nov. 2, 2146 Big Springs Road, Maryville. General admission $13. Classic style, self-guided walk through indoor haunted attraction in the old Alnwick School now Alnwick Community Club.

Frightmare Manor: 7 p.m.-midnight Oct. 25-26; 7 -10 p.m. Oct. 24, Oct. 27 & Oct. 30, 7-11 p.m. Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 7588 Andrew Johnson Highway, Talbott. Admission $25 for three haunted attractions; $40 for three haunted attractions plus fourth "Nightmare at Frightmare Money Back Challenge." The challenge is for ages 18 and older. Haunted house, barn, woods and "Nightmare" attraction.

Frightworks Haunted House: 7-10 p.m. Oct. 24, Oct. 27 & Oct. 30; 7 p.m.-midnight Oct. 25-26; 7-11 p.m. Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 1904 W. Emory Road, Powell. Tickets $19.95. "Tremble Morbidtorium" theme.

Haunted History Cruises Aboard the S.S. Nightmare: 7, 8 and 9 p.m. Oct. 24-27, Oct. 31-Nov. 3, NavCal Rides, Star Landing, 300 Neyland Drive, Knoxville. $15 at 865-765-3407. Family-friendly, 45-minute haunted history trips.

Island in Pigeon Forge Inaugural Halloween Celebration: 5:30-9:30 p.m. Oct. 31, Island Drive, Pigeon Forge. Free hayrides, costume contest, face painting, candy stations at stores. Wheel rides free for children in costume up to age 11 with one paid adult ticket rider for every five children. Adult wheel tickets $13; senior citizens age 60 and older tickets $11.

"Little Shop of Horrors": 7 p.m. Oct. 25-26, Oct. 31, Rogersville Playhouse, 1924 American Legion Road, Rogersville. $12 adult, $10 under age 12 at 423-293-0882 orwww.rogersvillearts.org. Musical about a blood-eating plant and the people around it.

Monster's Ball: 8 p.m.-midnight Oct. 31, Rockwood Event Center, 116 W. Rockwood St., Rockwood. $10 at door. Costume contests, appetizers, dancing.

Naturally Yucky Halloween: 4 p.m. Oct. 31, Ijams Nature Center, 2915 Island Home Ave., Knoxville. $3 Ijams member, $5 nonmember, free age 2 and younger. Program shows some of natural world's slimiest, yucky parts. Register at 865-577-4717, Ext. 110.

Ripley's Haunted Adventure "Experiment in Terror" 15th annual Fright Nights: starts 6 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October plus Oct. 31-Nov. 2 at Ripley's, traffic light #8, Gatlinburg. Tickets $13.99 plus tax age 12 and older, $7.99 plus tax ages 6-11. No one under age 6 allowed; those under 12 must be accompanied by guardian. Year-round haunted house Fright Nights shows for Halloween season.

Trick or Treat in the Cave: 5:30-8:30 p.m. Oct. 25-31, Cherokee Caverns, 8524 Oak Ridge Highway, Knoxville. $8 age 3 and older. Trick-or-treat along trail inside cave; meet cave "creepies," walk through underground vortex tunnel.

Terror in the Old City: Old City - Behind Southbound. Oct. 4 - Nov. 3 In the center of the city lies a secret few have ever heard about. Notorious serial killer Dr. Henry Howard Holmes aka Herman Mudgett once resided right here on E Jackson Avenue. A wristband from the Haunted House also gets you free admission to Southbound, NV, and Carleo's. Halloween Murder Mystery Cruise: October 31, 300 Neyland Dr., Knoxville, TN 37902. Come join the Star of Knoxville for murder most foul on Halloween. A live action stage play unfolds while you enjoy a delicious bar-b-que buffet. Solve the mystery of the killer's identity and win a special "I Solved the Murder" Tshirt. Boarding is at 6.30 p.m. and the cruise sails from 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Trick-or-Treating at Publix: October 31, Publix, Northshore Town Center. Costumed children can Trick or Treat around the new Publix store during the Halloween Treats Event from 4-7 p.m. There will be a free food demonstration and mini-pumpkin painting while stocks last at the Town Center Boulevard location

Dancin' for Regen Halloween Bash: October 31, 2013 3D Studio of Dance will be holding a Halloween Bash! All donations will benefit Regen Morris. There will be a DJ & Dance Party, Costume Contest, Refreshments, Candy for the kids, Bounce house and Games! The event will be held from 6-7 pm for kids 6 years old and under (parents must be present) and from 7-9 pm for kids 7 years old and up. For more information call (865) 766-7858.

Malloween at Knoxville Center Mall: October 31, Knoxville Center Mall. From 5:30 pm to 8 pm ghosts and Goblins of all sizes can enjoy a safe and climate-controlled environment to trick or treat. Masks are allowed on children 12 years old and younger and toy weapons are not allowed.
