(WBIR) If you love peanut butter, then it's time to get out your spoons. March 1 is "National Peanut Butter Lovers Day."
Your elementary school teachers probably told you George Washington Carver invented Peanut Butter, but experts say we really don't know who's responsible for the tasty spread. Carver just promoted more than 300 uses for peanuts, among other crops like soy beans and sweet potatoes.
And here's another fun fact --- did you know the average child will eat 1,500 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches before they graduate high school?
