2 Pillsbury Key Lime Cake Mixes
3/4 cup oil
2 cups of buttermilk
Mix well and bake in three 9 inch baking pans that have been lined with wax paper and spayed with cooking spray. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Cool completely.
1 1/2 cups sour cream
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
2/3 of a large bag of coconut
16 oz. Cool Whip
Mix sour cream, sugar and coconut well and put 1/3 mixture on the first layer, then 1/3 on the second layer; add the 3rd layer. Mix remaining third of icing mixture with 16 oz of Cool Whip to ice the outside of cake.
To make a bird's nest: Take a spoon and scoop out center of top layer. Cover entire cake with icing. Take the remaining coconut and toast it in oven. Build nest and place candy eggs in prepared nest; add a bird if you like.
