56oz Diced Canned Tomatoes
(at least) 1# Diced Sweet Yellow Onion
1-2oz Fresh Garlic, chopped
2T Dry Italian Seasoning
1t each of Salt, Black Pepper and Crushed Red Pepper
Add in together HALF each of the:
Tomatoes, Onions, Garlic, and all of the seasonings into the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker.
Gently lay the Beef Chuck roast into the slow cooker over the vegetable mixture.
Add the rest of the remaining ingredients on top of the roast.
Cover with lid, set slow cooker to Low for 8 hours.
After 8 hours, remove just the beef, shred lightly with forks and put back into slow cooker. Mix well, and serve.
Optional Serving Ideas:
Over pasta. Short shapes work best, such as Rigatoni, Penne or Bowtie.
Alongside a large Caeser or other green Salad.
On top of big slabs of Garlic Bread as an open-faced Sandwich.
Drain well, and use as a pizza topping or lasagna filling!
