(WBIR) A documentary highlighting the lives and achievements of Medal of Honor recipients debuted tonight in Washington, D.C. Monday night at the Supreme Court in front of 30 of the award's recipients.

Producers from Knoxville are behind the film, which centers around the origins of America's highest military honor, and the 3,500 men and women who have earned the award.

The Knoxville Medal of Honor Convention helped put the film together ahead of next year's convention, which will be in Knoxville.

The documentary will also be premiering locally; the movie will debut at the Regal Riviera Downtown in Knoxville next Monday, March 31st.
