Dolly Parton may be one of the most successful women in the history of country music, but she still knows the value of a dollar — especially if it isn't hers.
Parton and a group of friends were dining in Nashville recently. She said it was a new restaurant they were excited about visiting and "made it a point to try everything on the menu." They placed their order and at the end of dinner, there was no tab. Rocker Jack White happened to be in the same restaurant and decided that Parton's dinner party was on him.
"I've never felt so bad in my life," she said. "(The bill) had to be outrageous because (the restaurant) was expensive!"
Parton's upcoming album "Blue Smoke" will be in stores May 13.
