Knoxville's Young-Williams Animal Center is hoping to adopt out 180 animals this weekend alone.
The center's adoption mega "match-a-thon" started Friday and runs through Sunday.
Young-Williams brings in a lot of animals over the summer. This event helps find those animals homes, and makes room for more in the shelter.
"At this time of year we always find ourselves with a lot of animals from the summer, so it's a good opportunity for us to find as many animals homes as possible and start fresh for the fall season," said CEO Jeff Ashin.
As an incentive to get pet parents to adopt, the center is offering half-price adoption fees this weekend.
