Dogs from Young-Williams Animal Center are picked up to be take to Michigan to find their fur-ever homes
Twenty-one adorable East Tennessee dogs are heading north, in search of their fur-ever home.
Early Wednesday morning, representatives from the Michigan Humane Society loaded the pups up at Young-Williams Animal Center in Knoxville for the road trip.
The dogs will be sent to shelters in Michigan, where they will be adopted.
There are fewer stray and homeless animals in northern states because more pets are spayed and neutered. Young-Williams and other local animal advocates are working to increase the numbers of animals who are "fixed" in Tennessee and other southern states.
