It's official. The Bible is coming to NBC.
In July, Mark Burness and Roma Downey, executive producers of the hit History Channel miniseries "The Bible", announced they would bring a sequel to NBC.
Now, according to Variety and other reports, NBC made the project official, greenlighting the 12-hour miniseries titled "A.D." for a spring 2015 debut.
"A.D" reportedly continues the story immediately after the crucifixion of Jesus.
"The Bible," which ran this spring on History, secured 13 million viewers during its premiere, and closed out its run with 11.7 million viewers.
