The District Attorney who helped build a case against two parents accused of selling their daughters to create child pornography released new details about the investigation.
Washington County District Attorney Tony Clark says the investigation into 40-year-old Connie Sue McCall and 61-year-old Ronnie Lee McCall began in the summer of 2012.
Police arrested the couple for child neglect after they found the children living in deplorable conditions at a Johnson City trailer park.
Clark says the youngest child's teeth were rotting.
When the police started questioning the 5-year-old and 16-year old girls, Clark says they realized the parents were selling the oldest three for sex.
"DCS interviewed those individuals and the children said that they had been taken to various locations and performing sex acts with an adult," said Clark. He says the children are recovering and doing well in a foster home.
Ronnie McCall already entered a not guilty plea in federal court.
Connie McCall is scheduled to appear in court next week.
