A federal judge is taking a strong stand against the EPA and ordering them to finalize coal ash regulations.

A lawsuit is challenging the government agency about how often it should review its policies for coal ash disposal, especially in light of the Kingston spill nearly five years ago.

The court agreed with several environmental groups which argued the EPA should review and revise waste regulations every three years.

The judge ruled the EPA has 60 days to finalize coal ash regulations.
