(WBIR-Knoxville) Thousands will run and walk in the 21st annual BUDDY's Race Against Cancer Sunday afternoon in downtown Knoxville.
The 5K walk and run raises funds for the Thompson Cancer Survival Center's Outreach Services Program.
With over 5,500 participants and over $469,000 raised last year, and organizers said this year they hope to raise $475,000 with over 6,000 registered participants.
Organizers said proceeds raised by the race go to fight cancer locally.
The 5K walk and run starts at 3 p.m. at World's Fair Park.
