Talk about escaping in the nick of time. Firefighters managed to rescue a construction worker from the balcony of a burning building before part of the structure collapsed Tuesday afternoon in Houston, reports KPRC-TV.

Before emergency personnel reached him, the advancing flames forced the worker to drop to the balcony below.

A spokesperson with the Houston Fire Department told KPRC that no was hurt in the incident.

Flames and smoke could be seen from miles away, according to WBIR's NBC affiliate. Nearly 200 emergency personnel responded to the massive fire at the residential building under construction. Firefighters said they were still putting out hot spots Wednesday morning.
