An old ghost town in the Smokies could be getting a new life.

The Ghost Town in the Sky, an amusement park in Maggie Valley, is getting final inspection from North Carolina authorities.

The park re-opened last year, but faced several safety, water and vandalism issues. This year, the park's owner says things are looking good.

If all goes well, the owner says she hopes the park will be given the ok to open up this Friday. If that's the case, Ghost Town will be open each Friday through Monday 10 to 5.
