Police arrested a former Target cashier this week for allegedly charging only $3 for more than $1,100 of merchandise on his last day.
Walter Rodgers, 20, keyed in coupon codes, voided out some items and didn't scan others while ringing up $1,126 worth of merchandise for two unknown women in October, according to his arrest warrant. They left after paying less than the cost of a box of Froot Loops.
Surveillance video captured the transaction.
It was Rodgers' last day at the Nashville West Target on Charlotte Pike, his warrant said.
Rodgers was arrested Wednesday and charged with theft. He has been released from jail on a $10,000 bond.
