(WBIR) Knoxville police arrested a second suspect for a robbery and kidnapping at a west Knoxville ATM outside of a bank on Sunday.
Elijah Tre Crosswhite, 19, was charged with one count of the following charges: aggravated kidnapping, especially aggravated kidnapping, and aggravated robbery.
Officials said Crosswhite and 17-year-old confronted a father and his baby on the 9000 block of Executive Park Drive. The suspects then reportedly pulled a handgun at the father and son, demanded money and forced the father to drive to the Bank of America off Kingston Pike. When the father withdrew cash from his account, officers said the suspects got into a car in the Home Depot parking lot and drove off.
Crosswhite was arraigned in jail Monday morning, and his bond is set for $165,000. His next court appearance is set for Jan. 29.
A Knoxville teenager has been charged with the robbery of a man at a West Knoxville ATM Monday night.
The 17-year-old is charged in juvenile court with Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Kidnapping, and Especially Aggravated Kidnapping.
Investigators are still working to identify the second suspect, who they say is an adult.
A man was robbed at gunpoint at a West Knoxville ATM Monday evening, according to Knoxville police.
The victim told officers that two suspects forced him to withdraw money from the Bank of America at 9375 Kingston Pike at gun point shortly after 7 p.m. The suspects then ran to a car in the Home Depot parking lot and fled.
