(WBIR) An East Tennessee man, recently added to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's "Top 10 Most Wanted" list, was arrested in Mississippi over the weekend.

The Chattanooga Police Department and the TBI issued warrants against Cashman Jamar Perkins, 31, of Chattanooga for criminal homicide, aggravated domestic assault and unlawful possession of a weapon. The 31-year-old was also wanted for failure to appear on an unlawful possession of a weapon charge in Bedford County. In Rutherford County, Perkins was also wanted for violating his probation for possession of marijuana.

U.S. Marshals and the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive task force arrested Perkins in Columbus, Miss. at about 1 a.m. Sunday.

The arrest happened about a week after police said he shot and killed Francis Smith, 40, inside her Chattanooga home. Officials said they don't know what motivated the murder.

TBI said Perkins is being held without bond in Mississippi. Officials will soon bring him back to Tennessee.
