A Knoxville man is behind bars after being charged with three armed robberies.
The Knox County Sheriff's Office arrested Jeffrey Lynn Beeler, 50, at his father's home Thursday morning.
Detectives say Beeler was the man who robbed the Discount Tobacco Store on Tazewell Pike twice in one week and the Sunrise Market on Tazewell Pike a few days later.
Beeler is charged with three counts of aggravated robbery and is being held in the Roger D. Wilson Detention Facility on a $30,000 bond.
His criminal history in Knox County includes worthless check, driving under the influence, violation of the open container law, simple possession, implied consent notice, and possession of handgun while under the influence of alcohol or controlled substance
County Sheriff's Office is asking for help to find a man suspected in at least two armed robberies.
Investigators released a surveillance photo Wednesday of man wearing a hoodie and mask threatening a clerk at the Sunrise Market on Tazewell Pike with a gun. That robbery happened on Tuesday morning, and the suspect got away with money from the cash register.
The suspect was described as around 6 feet tall, heavy-set, and wearing khaki cargo shorts, gray and black tennis shoes, a light colored hooded jacket, rubber gloves, sunglasses, and a white bandana over his face.
He may be the same man who robbed a nearby tobacco store a few weeks ago.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Knox County Sheriff's Office at 215-2243.
