(WBIR) State and local officials busted what could be the largest marijuana operation ever in Tennessee, perhaps the country.
Officials found about 30,000 to 40,000 large marijuana plants in Grundy County. Thursday morning, a helicopter began gathering tens of thousand of plants and loading them into cargo trucks for disposal.
Authorities estimate that the street value of the pot is several million dollars.
A part-time Grundy County was tipped off about the growing operation.
