CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A former Fort Campbell soldier and convicted child rapist pleaded guilty to more child sex crimes Wednesday.

David Sabedra, 26, was charged with 33 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor for possessing hundreds of images of children engaged in sexual activity on Aug. 25, 2011.

Sabedra pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, with each count representing more than 100 images.

Sabedra entered open pleas and faces eight to 12 years for each of the B felonies. A prison sentence is mandatory, but the judge will decide if Sabedra will have concurrent or consecutive sentences.

The sentencing hearing is scheduled for Nov. 6.

Sabedra downloaded the child pornography and showed some of that pornography to a 9-year-old girl who he was convicted of raping.

In July 2013, Sabedra was found guilty by a jury of three counts of rape of a child, especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, aggravated sexual battery, attempted child rape, two counts of solicitation of a minor and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.

Sabedra gave the little girl candy and soda to exploit her and molested, raped and took nude photos of her on several occasions from January to August 2011.

He was sentenced to 30 years and is currently serving his time in the Tennessee Department of Corrections. He is listed as a violent sex offender.

Sabedra was accused in a third case with asking to take nude photos of another minor. That case was dismissed in settlement.

He faces an additional eight to 36 years in prison for the new conviction.
