An Indiana man has pleaded guilty to child pornography charges in an investigation that begin in East Tennessee in early 2012.

Jonathan Mendheim, 35, who was listed as homeless in Indianapolis, pleaded guilty to receipt and possession of child pornography. He will serve five years behind bars, followed by 20 years of supervised parole. He must also pay $3500 in restitution to the victims.

The investigation by the Knoxville Police Department Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and Homeland Security Investigations began when a man in San Jose exchanged explicit images of children with an email address that was traced to East Tennessee. Mendheim eventually admitted to using that email address and consented to a search of his computer, which yielded more than 100 images of young children in sexual poses.
