A major part of the new health care law will take effect on Tuesday.
Enrollment in new health care exchanges will start in Tennessee and across the country.
Community Health Alliance is a co-op funded by the federal government under the Affordable Care Act. It's purpose is to offer Tennesseans another option for health insurance, and keep the market place competitive.
Leaders there say there are two things folks should do to help them navigate the health care changes.
"Go to healthcare.gov for the federal plans and read that over. There's a lot of good information and navigators in the state that can help them through the enrollment process. Also, I would encourage them to find a health insurance broker or agent that can lead them through the process," said Jerry Burgess. Community Health Alliance President.
Again, open enrollment begins tomorrow for the health care exchanges. Coverage begins on January 1st. Enrollment closes on March 31st.
