Update: UT Medical Center officials say they water main break has been repaired and water has been restored to all buildings.
A water main break is affecting some patient care at the University of Tennessee Medical Center on Thursday.
UT says the break is in a line between two of the physicians office buildings off Alcoa Highway. Crews are out trying to repair the break, but right now there is no water in three UT Medical center buildings, including one in-patient building.
UT spokesperson Jim Ragonese says they have procedures in place to ensure that those patients are being cared for.
Some outpatient procedures were rescheduled because of the water outage. Those patients have been contacted.
"Fortunately, the impact has been fairly small," said Ragonese.
