(WBIR - Sevierville) Sevierville police officers arrested three people on Saturday, accused of using counterfeit $100 American Express gift checks at local stores.

Nineteen-year-old Alexandria Jackson of Riverdale, Ga., 23-year-old T'varis Alexander of Atlanta, Ga., and 28-year-old Frank Green of Sacramento, Calif., have all been charged with criminal simulation.

Officers say they were notified a counterfeit gift check was used at Five Oaks Mall on Saturday, and the mall sent out an alert. An American Eagle employee in the mall then responded that the suspect was in their store, and officers arrested Jackson. The other suspects were arrested when they got into the suspect vehicle, according to police.

Police say the suspects may have used counterfeit checks at other area stores and in other states.

Anyone who thinks they have been given a counterfeit $100 American Express give check should contact their local law enforcement and call Detective Kevin Bush at (865) 453-5507.
