Nashville officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony Monday to celebrate the completion of the Music City Center.
The grand opening celebration started Sunday, and includes free concerts from Sheryl Crow, Phil Vassar, Vince Gill and others.
The Music City Center measures 2.6 million square feet and takes up 16 acres. The grand ballroom alone can seat up to 6,000 people.
At $585 million, the convention center is the most expensive public project in Nashville history. Construction started back in 2010.
