East Tennessee singer Janelle Arthur continued her impressive run on the hit show American Idol on Wednesday night with a performance that showed off her talent and range.
She sang "You May Be Right" by the Piano Man himself, Billy Joel.
The judges loved her performance and her fashion. They gave Janelle some of the best praise she's heard all season, and Randy Jackson called her "The Great Contender."
Just before she wowed the judges, Janelle gave a shoutout to her watch party at Lincoln Sports Grille in Oak Ridge. Dozens of fans gathered to cheer her on from a couple thousand miles away, and they even offered a little help for the family.
Organizers raised money for the Arthur family to help pay for travel expenses out to Los Angeles. People donated money and bought door prize tickets to try and help the family anyway they can. Even portions of the bar's sales Wednesday will go to the family.
