Groups at Vanderbilt University urged people to wear green dots to Thursday's football game against Ole Miss as a sign of solidarity and support in the wake of a sexual assault case on campus.

The green dots symbolize responsibility for campus safety.

Organizers hoped it would re-enforce treating one another with dignity and respect. Students handed out dots before the game.

The gesture comes after police charged four former football players for sexually assaulting an unconscious female in her dorm.
