(WBIR - Knoxville) The doggie paddle was the swim stroke of choice on Sunday when dogs of all sizes hit the water in Knoxville.
The 4th annual Doggie Dip at Inskip Pool gave owners a chance to let their dogs off the leash and into a pool that would normally be off limits to four-legged friends.
Knoxville Parks and Recreation Superintendent, Kristin Manuel, said more than 100 dogs attended this year's event and owners were very appreciative for the opportunity.
"Knoxville is a very pet friendly city and we wanted to do our part with the public pools, at this point we don't let the people in, so we wanted to do something different where owners could bring their dogs out, be with other owners and let them have a good time and swim," Manuel said.
She also said the event will be back again next year and will continue to be held the Sunday after Labor Day at Inskip Pool.
