CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee Temple University has put most of its Highland Park campus in Chattanooga up for sale as leaders explore the possibility of moving.

The Chattanooga Times Free Press reports university President Dr. Steve Echols told students on Tuesday that the property was being listed. The asking price is $19.6 million.

Echols said there has been "strong support" for an idea of moving the school to the 170-acre campus of Woodland Park Baptist Church in Tyner, so leaders decided to put the 21-acre campus on the market to see what kind of offers it might get.

Echols said Tennessee Temple University won't be moving soon. Even if the property is purchased, he says the school would lease it back until a final agreement is reached on a new campus.
