Rose is preparing to go on the America's Got Talent tour.
(WBIR - Pineville, Ky.) Musician Jimmy Rose returned home to Pineville, Kentucky Saturday to greet his fans with a free concert.
On Wednesday, Rose placed third on the NBC show "America's Got Talent." He said he hasn't let fame change him.
"It's not about me, its about this town, it's about these people," Rose said.
Rose will go to New York City Sunday to prepare for the America's Got Talent live tour. It will make a stop in Nashville, Oct. 9.
Rose said after the tour, he would like to pursue a record deal.
"That's the goal," he said. "Nothing solid right now."
But, he said he was thankful for the opportunity to participate in America's Got Talent. He said he feels his performances helped teach the world more about Appalachia.
"You know it just means so much for me and Pineville and Appalachia, because we're stereotyped around here, people look at us differently, but hopefully I've shed some light on that a little," he said.
