Blount County deputies investigate thumbtack incident at Heritage High School
(WBIR-Blount Count) Students at Heritage High School were tested at Blount Memorial Hospital after freshman girls stuck over 20 students with thumbtacks.
According to Marian O'Briant, Public Information Officer with Blount County Sheriff's Office, three freshman were sticking schoolmates with thumbtacks as a joke Friday afternoon.
"I don't know yet the extent of the puncture wounds," said O'Briant.
O'Briant said possible charges would not come until next week, if at all, pending the investigation.
It was also unknown whether the school is taking disciplinary action.
