A former medical official is facing new trouble in Bledsoe County. Authorities say the former director of the county's ambulance service stole at least $2,500 worth of morphine and other pain drugs for personal use.

Investigators say several reports showing high purchase amounts tipped them off. They say the former director even forged the signature of the county's medical director at least 17 times to get the drugs.

They are not releasing the former director's identity at this time because prosecutors have not filed any charges.
