A $15,000 grant will help more than 50 underprivileged East Tennessee teens work toward their dreams.
The Taco Bell Foundation presented a check Tuesday to the Boys and Girls Club of the Tennessee Valley. The money will help teens get educational support. It's all an effort to get them ready for college.
"We know it's highly important that we help in the crisis of the graduation program right now. We want to be sure we can do everything we can to emphasize on the importance of it and to help increase the statistics of it, especially teens graduating in our local Knoxville area," said Jesse Avila.
The money already helped pay for a trip to several local colleges so students could get a feel for university life.
