Halloween is still weeks away but the ghosts and goblins are already out.
The 27th annual BOO! at the Zoo got underway Thursday night in Knoxville. Kids got the chance to trick-or-treat at 20 stops throughout the zoo.
It wasn't just about the candy though. There was also a Monster Mash tent complete with a deejay and "scary-go-round". The zoo says the scenery is what sets this apart from your typical halloween festivities.
"I think it's different becuase you get to go somewhere that you normally go to during the day," said Kailey Kritch with the zoo. "I think it's just a different environment to spend Halloween, and we have different decorations throughout the zoo so it's just a different environment."
The zoo is hosting 11 more nights of Boo! at the Zoo. They include tomorrow and Saturday, as well as October 17th through 20th and from the 24th to the 27th.
