(WBIR) Governor Bill Haslam and officials with Leisure Pools announced on Wednesday that the company will be opening a new manufacturing facility in Knoxville.
According to a release, the $6.2 million investment will create 240 new jobs in Knox County and the new facility will become the company's corporate headquarters.
Leisure Pools is scheduled to officially close on the property later this year.
The company said it's looking for employees with skills in fiberglass composite manufacturing, transport, accounting, sales, marketing and administration. Interested candidates should e-mail their resumes to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The facility will take over the former Sea Ray Island Plant located at Forks of the River Industrial Park. The Knoxville Chamber says it's been challenging to find someone to use that building because it's specially designed.
