A former UT fundraiser pleaded guilty Wednesday afternoon to child porn charges.

Former UT Foundation executive Bruce Downsbrough pleaded guilty to knowingly receiving material containing child pornography and knowingly possessing child pornography as part of a plea deal. Under the deal, all other charges against him will be dropped.

The charges come after a laptop, a tablet, some external hard drives and other items were seized from his home during a search in November 2012. Investigators say they found about 20,000 images and videos of pornography involving children.

Downsbrough's faced trouble with the law before. During the investigation the state also learned there were past sex abuse charges brought against Downsbrough in 1986, involving two children in Colorado. One of those charges of sexual assault against Downsbrough was dismissed. The state of Tennessee does not know the status of the other charge.

Prosecutors have recommended a 10-year prison sentence. A judge will make the final decision.

Sentencing is set for March 2014.
