(WBIR - Bearden) Some East Tennessee students got some practice this weekend at navigating life's tough decisions.

The fifth installment of the TENNderCARE Teen Health Conference helped local middle and high schoolers understand how good and bad decisions can impact their lives.

The teens navigated a full-sized version of the game "Life" while carrying badges representing different lifestyle choices like smoking and drinking.

"We wanted them to understand that the decisions you make, you have to really stop and think before making these decisions because it can impact your life later," said Charlayne Frazier, TENNderCARE program manager.

Frazier said the event is designed to give participants an interactive way to learn about potential future challenges. Click here for more information about the TENNderCARE program.
