Update 2:45 p.m. Saturday: Comcast officials told WBIR 10News that all its cable in East Tennessee should be restored now.

Russell Byrd, the Senior Director of Government and Public Affairs for Comcast's East Tennessee Region, said crews in and out of town are working together to figure out what caused the major outage.

Byrd said internet and voice services were not impacted, only cable customers.

"We want to apologize to all of our customers for the inconvenience. We have crews in and out of town working to get this resolved as quickly and fast as possible.," said Byrd.

(WBIR-Knoxville) Hundreds of Comcast customers reported cable outages Saturday afternoon.

According to technicians, service is expected to be restored around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Outage maps showed the majority of customers effected are within Knox County, however 10News viewers in Loudon, Roane, Cumberland, and other counties have also reported outages
