A west Knox County country club is lending a helping hand to support breast cancer patients.

Tuesday afternoon, Fox Den Country Club donated more than $53,740 to Susan G. Komen's Knoxville branch. The money will help pay for mammograms, treatment, and supplies for breast cancer patients.

Members of the country club say it's a little way they can make an impact in Knoxville.

"We're all concerned about women who have breast cancer and ways to aid them. Mammograms, diagnostic tests, and a variety of other things we do for them," said Margaret Heins Laning.

The country club raised the money through several fundraisers including auctions, dinners, and tennis and golf tournaments.
