(WBIR) More than three years after their death, the family members of two Tennessee army pilots killed in Iraq have settled a multi-million dollar wrongful death lawsuit against the manufacturers of the helicopters they flew.

Captain Marcus Alford and Billie Jean Grinder died in 2010 when their Kiowa helicopter suffered mechanical problems and crashed.

Alford was a graduate of South-Doyle High School and Carson-Newman College.

Court records show attorneys for the families have now settled that case. The terms of the settlement are confidential.
