A dog who was found in the burned rubble of her family's home is out of the hospital.
Sadie was being treated at UT Veterinary Medical Center for severe burns after the suspicious fire on November 21 in Carter County. Her family survived, but lost everything. They thought Sadie has been killed in the blaze, but she was found two days later, alive, but seriously injured.
The family could not afford Sadie's care, so a local veterinarian reached out to the community for help. Donations have helped pay for Sadie's care.
According to WCYB-TV in Bristol, Sadie has been released from the hospital, but she still doesn't have a home. Her family is staying with relatives, but still needs a permanent place to live.
Volunteers are now trying to help the family find a permanent place to live.
