Dozens of home bound seniors in Knox County got an early holiday treat on Friday.
Project SCAN volunteers delivered holiday baskets full of fresh fruit.
SCAN stands for "Senior Citizens Awareness Network." Volunteers are trained by the Knox County Sheriff's Office and check on home bound seniors and do property checks throughout the year.
Once a year, around the holiday season, they deliver the baskets.
"I care about these people and I go out to their home show them how much we care about them, visit them, spend time with them," said SCAN officer Rocky Brach.
Brach says he delivered almost three-dozen baskets this week.
