The Knoxville Police Department has identified the victims in Tuesday's double shooting near downtown.

KPD said Thomas Hardesty, 30, was shot once in the leg and Courtney Brown, 19, had an injury to her hand.

Authorities said they have identified a suspect and are working to locate him.

A double shooting near downtown Knoxville sent two people to the hospital Tuesday evening with minor injuries.

Knoxville police officers say it happened around 5 o'clock at Arbor Place Apartments.

Investigators say the victim wanted to talk with an ex-girlfriend about child visitation when the suspect left a nearby apartment and fired a handgun.

One victim took a bullet to the leg, the other suffered a hand injury. Both had non-life threatening injuries.
