A Hawkins County cemetery manager is facing forgery charges for allegedly taking payments, but not providing services.
Authorities arrested Vicki Ringley Thursday. She manages the Hawkins County Memorial Gardens. Prosecutors charged her with a lone count of felony forgery.
In recent months, more than 20 people filed a complaint against Ringley for not providing services they paid for.
"We received a complaint that a check had passed and they hadn't signed it and we followed up on it and we found probable cause for charging Ms. Ringley with one count of forgery," said Tony Allen, Hawkins County investigator.
No information yet on whether Ringley could face more charges.
