A house fire in Seymour Monday evening killed four dogs.

The homeowners were home when the fire broke out.

Firefighters say the homeowners tried to save the dogs, but couldn't get them out of the house. All four died, but the three people inside made it out safely.

Firefighters say the fire started in the dryer in the laundry room.

The Red Cross is helping out the homeowners.
